Despite the somewhat morbid title, this piece was the most fun to make! Granted, I went a little overboard with the colors on the skeleton, but it’s really grown on me. The first death and second death idea sprouts from John Calhoun’s idea of experiencing a “death of individuality” before the actual, physical death of the body. In other words, let’s not cage our creativity people!
It’s also a relief when someone lets me have creative freedom. All that was asked was a giraffe skeleton with blue and green incorporated somehow. Thanks Sarahbeth (a fellow artist) for letting me flex my creative muscles! You can find Sarahbeth’s work here. 🙂
